KHRC Director Attends Fifth Global Vaccine and Immunization Research Forum (GVIRF) In South Korea

Director of KHRC, Dr. Kwaku Poku Asante participated in the fifth Global Vaccine and Immunization Research Forum (GVIRF) which took place in Incheon, South Korea on March 28 to 30, 2023.

The forum is the “central discussion platform of all research and innovation aspects related to the Immunization Agenda 2030,” WHO’s ambitious global vision and strategy for vaccines and immunization for the decade 2021–2030.

Dr. Asante made a presentation on Immunization Agenda 2030 (IA2030) Strategic Priority 7: Research & Innovation: Overview and Goals.

The forum was co-hosted by the World Health Organization, the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. It brought together vaccine experts and researchers from public health, academia, government, industry and civil society around the world.
